Atco customers in southern Alberta will be charged $6.21 per gigajoule come Monday, compared with the $4.26 per gigajoule they paid in August. Storage rates may be good but if $6.21 is the price in Sept. how about Jan, Feb, March? This is a huge increase. Atco does no hedging but buys on the spot market.
