It is interesting that you personally attack me for defending my indignation at this article and especially the statement that The Republicans are total incompetents. Put yourself in my position and rewrite Tomasky's article, but rather change it to democrats instead of republicans. I personally don't believe that about democrats, but I have to tell you I stopped reading the article when I got to that sentence. I have since gone back and finished it and I have come to the conclusion that Tomasky is just another example of the common, angry liberal writer of the day, and that he is so wrong. It's also interesting that it seems if your a liberal and would criticize our government it's supposed to be considered patriotic, but if a conservative dare mention any perceived failing or fault that existed in any past democratic administration it is hate filled and mean. Are some of us more American than others? What double standards do exist?

And to clarify matters, I was talking about journalists who have paid contracts through national and International organizations such as The New York Magazine and The American Prospect not some individual such as me or you that posts on an Internet chat site.

To describe me as a "constant belittler" is stretching the truth........but this isn't about me or you E, this is about people in positions of responsibility. The adjectives some liberal writers use makes it nearly impossible to read their articles and most of us can't get past the first paragraph to see if what they are trying to say has any merit what so ever.

Now if you'd like to point out to me some conservative journalistic writers (other than the whipping girl of the left, Ann Coulter) that stoop to these levels please do.

I am sorry you feel compelled to address my failings as I've always respected *you* and your convictions. Glad to know you feel otherwise about me though.

And is there *anyone* who can answer my original question? I would seriously like to know what a writer thinks he or she will accomplish writing this kind of screed other than to totally insult half of the citizens of this country.
