Upbeat Conference Call They finally tried Linux! Was it a case of Try it you'll like it? Schmidt did the groundwork before he left and Stone shopped the Linux market for some brain power 13 months ago and we had some good alignments --- -a- booming Enterprise use of Linux because of MSFT licensing and security issues has now become a serious problem for MSFT -b- Novell's reputation for network services and secure products that save companies money now porting to Linux -c- the buzz about Novell itself because the major public commitment to Linux makes Novell appear a leading edge rather than legacy company. It's all pretty good news. However the news I liked best had to do with an executive hired from IBM to figure out how to do what we begged Schmidt to do years ago --- execute. Did you hear that word from our CEO? I did! He called it the new mantra. Does anybody know more about this new guy?
