Is your point that Congress fixes wages 'too high' (Davis Bacon Act)... or 'too low' (new 'overtime' redefinition)?

My main objection, would be that they 'fix' them at all, by weighing in with their heavy, discriminatory hand, by exempting entire industries from regulations most other industries have to accept... or having the taxpayers effectively underwrite an industry's risk coverage... or numerous other sad and destructive examples of tilted playing fields and 'National Industrial Policy' wrought by politicians.

When Congress gets involved, typically we get even further away from free market policies.
