your response is without merit... I am for expanded drilling in the United States. I want us to find more natural gas in the Rockies and I want to drill in Federal lands... I want off shore drilling off the East Coast without states having the right interfere. I want cheaper prices for my home heating bills... and gasoline for driving..I want cheaper electric bills... Now am i in the pocket of big energy. NO!

Why do we have a natural gas shortage in this country.. Could it be the green people forced our electric companies and chemical companies to convert to cleaner supplies and thereby increase demand by 30%.. These conversions are a direct result of gov regulations. Now perhaps if the democrats who put these clean bills into effect also passed on tax incentives to convert to cleaner burning of coal or heavy fuels we wouldn't have the shortage and higher prices.

Second when was the last time the green people freed up law suits and other court action for permits to build a refinery in this country... Up until this week the refineries couldn't even keep up on maintenance without doing a major rebuilt due to Clinton act he passed... Now many of the refineries have been mothballed or sold off because they cannot upgrade the facility.

What Bush and Cheney did by taking out the restrictions enacted by Clinton is a major step to improve our effeciency in the production of energy in this country.
