>>7 Things I think the Next President needs to do!<<

Well I should start by asking why can't the current administration do these things, but let's forgo that for now.

1. Secure the Borders of The United States.

There is no evidence that America is at threat from normal flows at her boarders now, than it has ever been in the past.It is also expensive to do and costly in trade movement.

A more realistic solution is to address the issues that that make America a target at her boarders.

2. Create conditions to attract Business development U.S.

These positive conditions come from positive attitudes towards those who would invest in your country. Those conditions have to met also by ensuring companies are rewarded for maintaining an American presence ,and not exporting jobs and manufacturing offshore without repercussions.

3. Restructure the Tax Code. / Flat tax/ etc.

Most at the bottom of the income gap would welcome this,it's those who pay little or no tax on millions of income that pose the largest opposition to a flat tax.

4. Reduce the publics dependence on government.

There are things Government do well, and there those they don't do well.It is also the public's choice as to what type of society they wish to live in,one where the government provided safety nets, not just for corporate welfare, but for all....or one which dictates the survival of the fittest without ANY government intervention.

5. Honor and follow the Constitution as it is written.

Maybe a review of the constitution as it applies to current day America is appropriate, and then decide how it is interpreted and applied.

6. Develop trade partners,increasing productivity in U.S

Productivity is not America's problem today.America is likely T-H-E-E most productive nation on earth today. But the trade partnerships need to be addressed on a global scale that benefits global , as well as American, interests.

7. Cut ties W/the U.N.and sort out our friends from
the leaches and hangers on.

The UN,despite it's shortcomings , is all we have right now,and it doesn’t' appear feasible to be selective in what countries are its makeup based on a pre-ordained agenda that labels some countries " good " and others " evil ".That would not make a United Nations...that would merely make a United Nations Of Like Interests, and you can be sure a United Nations of opposing views would emerge to counter it.The cold war all over again.
