Yes, there's indeed been a massive exodus from RB, and this is only the most recent in a series. For the most part people have chosen to leave because of the extreme technical problems they've encountered at the site over the last six to eight months. RB finally seems to have got that under at least some control, but they may have done too little, too late.

Now their new Admins are annoying a lot of people. The SUGG board was created as a place where people could communicate with RB, but after the departures of JohnCRB and RagingAaron the board was left to its own devices for months. And then snippy little ragingbullrep appeared, inappropriately suspending and warning people for "off-topic" posts. She was apparently unable to grasp the absurdity of her action, and she immediately antagonized the board regulars.

The more recent problems, having largely to do with the DHTT board and the people who post there, have been exhaustively discussed here. rbrep doesn't seem to understand that there're lots of off-topic posts on ALL boards, and especially on dead-stock boards like DHTT. She needs to understand that individual boards are the product of the people who post on them, and should be left undisturbed unless completely out of control. She needs to understand that RB is about one quarter useful discussion about our capital markets, and three-quarters entertainment. It is not, and should not pretend to be, a meeting of the Federal Reserve Board.

Unfortunately rbrep has shown herself to be utterly humorless, so I don't expect her attitude to change. One could hope, though, that her superiors might tell her not to encourage and participate in TOS wars, which she's currently doing.

Good luck, Bob: I and many others would like to see you succeed in your bid to buy RB.
