- BusinessWire

MATAWAN, N.J., Aug 29, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- iVoice, Inc. (IVOC) , a leader in speech recognition technology today announced the installation of an Interactive Voice Response system for Bilkay's Express Distribution Warehouse and Service Corporation.

The iVoice IVR Installed at Bilkay's Express Distribution Warehouse and Service Corporation is in conjunction with Avaya's MERLIN MAGIX(TM) PBX telephone system. The IVR allows a customer to inquire as to the shipping status, by entering an order number. The IVR system verifies with Bilkay's Express Distribution Warehouse and Service Corporation database, various detailed information regarding the shipping date, shipped on date and expected shipping time. The system even provides call transfer to a customer service representative if desired.

The market for speech-enabled IVR and auto attendant systems is growing at a steady clip. Mountain View, CA-based market research outfit Frost & Sullivan pegs the industry at $2.5 billion-plus and rising at 25% compounded annual growth rate (CAGR).

"The IVR system developed for Bilkay's Express Distribution Warehouse and Service Corporation demonstrates iVoice's flexibility and expertise in designing a custom fit IVR application that streamlines a customers call center and frees up human resources to perform other important tasks," said Jerry Mahoney of iVoice.

IVR systems can be used to support such transactions such as stock trades, travel arrangements, banking or order verification. iVoice can design a customized IVR system to streamline order entry or information gathering call center for any organization with state of the art speech recognition technology.
