ALBUQUERQUE, N.M., Aug 19, 2003 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Advanced Optics Electronics Inc. (ADOT) today released preliminary specifications for the production of the color speech processor now referred to as "Color-Chek." Company officials for the first time confirmed that much of the focus has been toward miniaturization to enable both of the important target markets to immediately employ Color-Chek with an absolute minimum of time, preparation and cost.
Specifics point toward a weight of no more than 5 ounces fully self-contained within a special lightweight durable housing no wider than 2 1/2 inches and approximately 6 inches in length. Research to further miniaturize this unit has been ordered to pace production schedules.
Color-Check is targeted to provide a viable and important advance for the vision impaired and for the first time allow consistent absolute quality control in manufacturing by providing a very affordable and portable tool for online inspections in hundreds of industries worldwide.
Biomoda Inc. will be selecting its initial market maker within the next 10 days. This will enable Biomoda Inc. to complete its filing application for the 211 form required by the appropriate national securities agencies after the recent approval by the Securities and Exchange Commission.
