You're absolutely right, Harvey. We've been there(In Iraq) over 5 months and the best we've been able to do is bring Iraq up to the level of California. Then again, there are some left over Baathists, and others, opposing our efforts, such as the left wing loonies in this country, hoping for complete failure of the Operation Iraqi Freedom. One could almost sense the exultation of the Nine Little Dwarfs(ten with Hilllary Snow Black) when the Exalted Imam was assassinated in Najaf. No, a stable Iraq is not in their best interests,nor economic recovery, so pray they do for failure. With their insane rantings and ravings against our(their) President they give aid and comfort to the enemy, and cause further loss of life among our military. Saddam concluded, correctly, the left wing loonies would be on his side in a pre-election year and,hopefully, this country would slide into another Vietnam, with, of course, the New York Times, as usual, leading the way.
