Hey Tex, how much do ya all pay in STATE income tax down there in Texas? I read where the US was thinking about not allowing US banks to have offshore branches. It was decided that the US banks COULD NOT compete globally if the banks weren't allowed this option. Obviously if SRA gets raptiva approved Xoma will be like a global bank having to compete on a GLOBAL INTERNATIONAL basis. At a point in time Texas obviously wanted to promote itself to compete with other states..................one of their ways to compete...........no state income tax. BTW, if ANYONE needs help AT ANY AGE all they have to do is present themselves to ANY public hospital. If it is an emergency all you have to do is dail 911. We live in the GREATEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD!!!!! Please stop comparing Enron to the thousands of great honest public companies in the USA not to mention all the PRIVATE hardworking honest businesses. You are wrong about what has made this country great............doesn't have anything to do about the balance between the haves and the have-nots. It has to do with hearts and minds of the great people of this country.
