Khalil, Remember that foam will break off and enter a jet stream of several thousand miles per hour. It will be subjected to extreme drag on the order of 50+ gees and will be expected to reach a large speed differential to the accelerating shuttle in a fraction of a second. I would expect a speed of 500+ mph to be quite within reach as an impact velocity.
