I suspect that I am closer to knowing the real truth in many instances than most folks. It makes you feel good, but when it comes to social action, the "Stupidity theory of History" is closer to the truth, IMO. The real history of mankind, to me, is the history of the application of science. That is what has raised us out of the muck, and everything else is just entertainment.
