RE: Japan, China, Korea to Jointly Develop Windows Replacement OS Ouch. It wouldn't surprise me if they could pretty much copy the "look and feel" of MSFT's GUI, as their patent law in software is not well developed. MSFT wont like it, of course, and will use all its legal and political clout to try to stop it. But as long as they don't try to sell it in USA, I'm not sure MSFT can prevail. It's not quite the same as software piracy, but close.
