As I said earlier, I didn't have any feeling of "wrongness," that is suspiciousness, about Salam Pax's writing, and now that I've read Shiapundit's, I can say that it doesn't give me that somethin's-wrong-here feeling either. Neither of their styles is like riverbend's in the ways that make hers suspect to me.
Do we have any biographical information about Salam Pax or Shiapundi, esp with regard to the ages and circumstances of their exposure to English?
Riverbend is 23, btw.
If she and SP meet (and talk substantively, in a way that would establish her identity convincingly), and he writes confirming she's 23, female, Iraqi, etc, I"d be curious to see that account, so would you or somebody please remind me if I"m not hanging out, okay?
