Not that it helps ease the frustration, but I did something similar. If I recall correctly, you brought CTY to my attention in the first place.

I bought CTY at an average of over $3. I analyzed the bejesus out of that stock and couldn't find anything to explain the drop from $7. I was so confident of my analysis that CTY made up over a third of my portfolio.

As it drifted down, I began second-guessing my analysis. I vacillated between buying more and selling. Eventually, I sold around $2.30, suspecting that there was something the market knew that I didn't. Instead of making 3-400%, I lost 30%.

CTY, along with bad timing in BBY, set me back a year. If I find something like that again, I'll be more inclined to believe my own eyes and put less faith in the market's wisdom.
