The position of the German government isn't as clear-cut as the Chinese article suggests. There are voices in favor of troops for Iraq - among the Greens, of all. The defense policy speaker of the Greens, Angelika Beer, a formerly strong pacifist, currently has a love affair with a general. She favors UN-guided German troops in Iraq :)
