Well YES. And the people who think calling people those names is "bad", probably are homophobic. But I can't help thinking that people threatened by being called gay or lesbian, or latently gay or lesbian, are exhibiting irrational fear, also- or at least a frame of reference where being that is so bad, that it's terribly upsetting. I fail to see the harm- UNLESS the idea of homosexuality is so horrible that seeing oneself that way is the harm, in which case, you are back to homophobic, imo.

I mean if you call me an actuary- I know I'm not one; I'm probably not even a latent actuary. Why should I be upset? I would only be upset if I thought being an actuary, or a latent actuary, was a really awful thing.
