I think that it's important to maintain the "no means no" standard for defining rape. If we allow that to be undercut, then the bright line is gone and we're back to the bad old days. So I wouldn't go along with your notion that all rapes should be prosecuted. I think that the prosecutors should pursue all accusations made, diligently and respectfully, even those of the "technical" nature, again, for the sake of the standard. I would rather see the sisterhood informally deal with the grey area before it becomes a police matter. Like all interest groups, feminists need to police our own or we end up as strident bitches and laughing stocks. As for letting a potential "technical" serial rapist off the hook, there are worse things. He could have his consciousness raised informally as well.
