Actually there is every reason to worry for Ascend share holders. The remote access maket has become very competitive. 2 years ago Ascend was the only game in town. That is no longer the case and as the carriers/ISPS start deploying the next wave of remote access products they have a lot of companies to chose from. But this is an exploding market place and Ascend will get there fair share but they are no longer a gimme. Witness the PSI net release today where Ascend was the incumbent and the deal went to 3 com . Anindo
