in the face of four car-bombings in a month and a palpable sense that we are not in control of the country we are nominally occupying.

I did like a few of his comments...but I keep finding that these reporters have no sense of reference. The reporters are looking for a level of perfection that does not exist.

50 Americans are killed and 500 wounded by bombs in the USA every year and that does not include big events like OK City.
20,000 Americans are murdered in the USA every year (55 per day)...another 40,000 are killed in car wrecks, many of which are considered homicides.
