Hi Brian,

RE: "You don't think the current leaders will find a way to morph into sellers of gear beyond CMOS?"

I don't know and neither do you. Forget "inclination" and "belief". Consider AMAT. It is has been the best risk/reward situation since the late '80s. Moore's Law has been a tremendous driver since the mid '60s. These things, "all things", shall pass. Your job is to move to great risk/reward situations that will not be affected by the end of Moore's Law. You do not have the luxury to remain invested in AMAT until you see and understand what is on the horizon.

RE: "Am curious as to who or what you believe could supplant these companies."

Have you seen the HP "nanotechnology" adds. They sponsered the tennis last weekend. In the past week or two, I read a "Technology Review" article about the efforts in molecular computing at HP Labs. I don't know the answer, but I don't need to guess about it.

SUCCESSFUL TECHNOLOGY INVESTING REQUIRES FINDING WINNERS AND UNDERSTANDING WHY THEY WIN AND WHY THEY WILL CONTINUE TO WIN.

We don't know if or why any of the semi-equips will continue to be successful beyond Moore's Law.
