This is the first I have ever heard of any kind of disease afflicting IBM personnel in greater percentages than the general public though we know that stress weakens the immune system and assists diseases like cancer in forming and for sure the IBM employee population has been under huge stress for the past 15 years.
We have found out about carcinogens after the fact with many chemicals so maybe the stuff they use in the semi-conductor process or in experiments is just as bad but we don't know it yet. If this is true it is not just an IBM problem.
