Einstein left Germany in '32 I think. Long before Hitler was proved even to the fools of the earth to be a dangerous man. He left based on his "conjecture" based on his observations that Hitler's Germany was not the place to be. Yet if you had been a German back then and talked to Einstein before he left you would have scoffed at him too.
