[Westell "proprietary tech."]

pat, you're didn't miss it. Seamans made no such statement. He quoted an analyst who identified four key factors to look for in deciding which ADSL companiies might come out on top. one of the four factors was ownership of intellectual property. later Seamans revisited the four point in order to describe WSTL's progress in each area. he said only what you paraphrased, that WSTL was working on strategies to enhance WSTL's I.P. position.

those who listened to the conf. may remember a caller asking Seamans what exactly WSTL was doing to enhance its I.P. position and whether that might include mergers or acquisitions. He said he couldn't speak to specifics but that work was ongoing.

p.s. i was the caller.
