Hi, E.

I think you and I both understand the complete difference between purely electronic encounters (where there is no possibility of force or violence, communications are out in the open and subject to public inspection, and continued participation is entirely voluntary, and where any interaction is virtual and not live) and live encounters (where the possibility of force or violence exists at all times, where there may not be an easy ability to tally disengage, where communications are often private and there is a he-said-she-said issue, and where interactions have a physical componenet that can lead to significant misunderstandings over what was intended).

There can be no such thing as telephone rape. Or internet rape. And we are both fully aware of that.

We are in this thread discussing real physical threats to people, and how society can and should deal with those. I intend to stick to that topic, since I think it is serious and important.
