Actually, I couldn't agree with you more, but many well known programs and Microsoft in particular specifically state that AV should be disabled during installation. I tried disabling NAV2003 autoprotect, but it wasn't enough. I even tried playing with the ZAP configurations to get it down to bare basics, but no success. The only thing that worked was disabling all my security during the Microsoft downloads and then reenabling them immediately after the installs were complete and doing thorough scans. Do you have any idea why or what was preventing the downloads?
