I don't really know much about Smookler. I think he joined STXN through some sort of acquisition deal... that is, I don't think he was hand-picked by Kissner. Although Kissner talked up Sam Smookler in public, I always had the feeling that it was Chuck Kissner (and Carl Thomson) who were really calling the shots at STXN... so when Sam left STXN, I wasn't at all concerned because Chuck and Carl were still on board.

My guess is that PCOM may turn out to be a good move for Smookler since he no doubt got a boatload of options... if the price goes up even a little, he'll walk away with a fortune. But I still think PCOM is a very weak company... one that I'll not invest in. Smookler *may* be a much-needed improvement in their management (we'll see) but I think they still need a stronger team as well as an improved product portfolio. Perhaps we will see Smookler dress up PCOM for a sale... that could be a nice outcome because it strikes me that PCOM will have a tough time competing in this line of business on its own and I think it might be better off merging with others.

Overall, as an investment, I'd regard PCOM as "highly speculative".
