No right-minded vet will vote for Bush now. He has screwed vets. He lied to them in 2000 about McCain and wants to cut their benefits, education and health care now. His DOD lied to them too. Bush might get their votes if he runs against Dean, but Kerry can take the vet vote now. All he has to do is compare his Silver Star with Bush's AWOl status. Vets and soldiers are not all right-wingers and most in the military now are minorities or at the working poverty level. Bush has dumped on the working poor, including the military. As for soldiers being GOP, don't bet on it. Eisenhower, Powell and Clark have all been non-partisan until they were forced to choose one or the other. That is more typical than you think.
