Richard Haas of the CFR is on Charlie Rose tonight, and he's making a lot of sense about the nation building we have to do in Iraq. The gist: we've made a heavy commitment, and we have to keep it up, the stakes are too high, we cannot afford failure, but the good news is that it's about the third inning; neither success nor failure is locked in at this moment. A breath of fresh air after that idiot woman Matthews last night, who concluded that if more than one reason was offered for invading Iraq that meant there were no reasons and since we now faced a guerilla war we should surrender immediately since Vietnam proved that every guerilla war was unwinnable.
