Peter, re "what you are calling 'Truly* backward compatible' is not in the definitions*" Agreed. And if it's not even in the definitions, then people shouldn't be describing a new WCDMA network as backward compatible with an existing GSM mobile .. as I stated in my original post. Regards, Ron
