Islam is concerned with fairness and justice. As you can see from these previous posts, I think this is the reason why God gave Islam to Arabs first; because they are extremely logical and fair by their nature.

Why do your muslims friends celebrate the violent death of others? Most civilized people that I am aware of would feel great relief that they are finally gone....But celebrate??
I think the destruction of a great evil is something that could be celebrated. And nobody knows the magnitude of Saddam's evil better than the Iraqi people.

It portends nothing. It was simply a misguided person duped into defending Satan. As guardians of the Earth ,not all Muslim's are perfect, they only strive for justice in order to ensure fairness.

In ancient times, property was usually inherited by the eldest son. In this instance, Ishmael happens to be older than Isaac. But Abraham showed favoritism towards Isaac or so it would appear. No wonder there is so much strife between their respective descendants today, eh?
Because Ishmael was a victim of injustice, it follows that his descendants would be acutely aware of injustices around them. Islam requires Muslims to ensure justice, perhaps that is why God gave Islam to the descendants of Ishmael.
