you're not the only one who has noted this. i think former joe has said the same. it may be a case of having to manually update... misec.net
you might try it and let us know if that worked.
meanwhile i have emailed the developer, Magnus Mischel, and asked him specifically about your liveupdate complaint.
"2) since i installed the program, i have a very hard time on start up in the morning.....that is, when i turn my machine on and all the programs in the task bar are loading up, the computer seems to freeze at least once or twice on start up. i have to turn the machine off and try again. sometimes zone alarm has a big x on it, meaning that it didn't load properly as well. so i will try it a few more days, if it continues, i'll d/c it, and see if the computer starts better without it."
lots of things could be going on here... but if it's clearly a case of TH screws things up and all is well when its removed, i suppose the choice is obvious. it could be worth a troubleshooting attempt with... support@trojanhunter.com
since it's your machine, it makes more sense for you to be involved in the troubleshooting than for me to try to find an answer.
out of curiosity, are you running win98? i think that most OS probs with TH seem to be with win98
