probably not spyware then, if you run Ad-aware every two weeks. still, if that's your only anti-spyware tool (i.e, you are not running any others in between the bi-monthly scans) i would suggest that you try to run it a lil bit more frequently. how long has the freezing been occurring, btw and i'm sure you're aware that win98 is notorious for that sort of behavior. it may not be any consolation, but the fact that it has a widely known reputation as an unstable operating system at least points to the futility of trying to make it run smoothly. whenever i boot into win98 i am reminded of that fact.
