Yes, but his "expert" advisers told him he would be swimming in Iraqi oil and would be blessed by the Iraqis while he did so. Now I imagine even he can see that the whole neocon fantasy, which encouraged him on his conquests in Afghanistan and Iraq, was a BS story.

It's clear that the US was in deep financial trouble and now it's in even bigger trouble because it won't be able to easily get of the "honey-pot" trap which it made for itself.

And the tragedy is that, at a time so critical in the history of the nation, they have W in charge. It's almost like fate has played an awful joke on America but I suppose people like Jefferson, Washington and Madison can't be made to order.
