Nice to see this issue getting some press. It has been discussed here on several occasions.

IMHO, it is only a matter of time before one foreign debt holder or another resorts to "blackmailing" the US, via the threat of the massive sale of treasuries. As noted in the past, it is hard to believe that the US authorities have let things come to this point.
