by Tommy Fernandez

Abner Louima attorney Sanford Bernstein has added 65 plaintiffs to a suit filed against Consolidated Edison Co. of New York and Ohio power provider First Energy Corp. for damages resulting from the August blackout.

Mr. Bernstein originally filed the suit on Aug. 21 in state Supreme Court for 35 businesses, including restaurants Amy Ruth's, Fresco, Remi, 212 and Le Zoccole. The plaintiffs added this week include the Heights Café, leather distributor Givi and party goods store Party Fair.
