"which had the faint odor of a threat,"

Hell...it had the "odor" of extortion! But I think it was only a silly little arm twist as you intimate! Can you imagine, though, if he was your BOSS and had actual power over you?! Not a pleasant thought...

His refusal to acknowledge or express true remorse for the harm his behaviour has caused leaves one feeling coldly distant from him as part of the human family. I mean he has it in his power to be less hurtful at no cost to himself. He need only offer a sincere apology, one would think.

Well perhaps it is best to leave it, and simply keep everything in the open (as you have done) when he transgresses or postures in a sinister manner. I think the last thing we need is his "friend" to rush back here to defend the idea that he is not a real person and that treating him as a real person is harmful to him (in some unreal way, one presumes)!--LOL!

It was always so amusing how his apparent friend kept claiming that he was incapable of doing harm because he was using a pseudonym, but that others who used a pseudonym were harming HIM!! Just a wee bit of hypocrisy, double standard, and feeble thinking! :-)

It was the funniest month I have spent on SI for irony except for the uncomfortable fact that our friend had suffered harm, and that THAT was never redressed.
