Ah, but Dowd is a columnist...she doesn't have to be "accurate." :-) Dowd is to me what Mark Steyn is to JohnM...if you like the POV it's great, if not it's drivel. I did read Dowd's latest just now....predictably "teejus". BTW, I think DiCaprio would be OK as a young Howard Hughes..he can act and certainly has star quality. As he ages, though, I dunno if he could carry that off.
