Washington — U.S. President George W. Bush wants billions of dollars more to pay for U.S. troops in Iraq and rebuilding the country, and congressional aides say the figure could top $80-billion (U.S.) in the upcoming budget year.

Wonder if that 80B$ was part of the 480B Deficit that they mentioned 10 days or so ago?

Gardez, Afghanistan — The United States plans to significantly increase spending in Afghanistan in a show of support for President Hamid Karzai, an administration official said Sunday.

Unlike the Iraq expence of 80B$, they dont have a price tag for this one. Maybe its a blank cheque.
