Actually, the Snow visit had all the aspects of a very polite and friendly dance around the issues - notice how little even apparent acrimony there was in the statements.

China is unlikely to revalue any time soon, unless it's a nominal 5 % or so...RMB is about 30% undervalued. Revaluations would be to keep China's economy form overheating and excess speculation.

Much better to buy more Boeing aircraft, make deals with Wall Street, put pressure on North Korea, etc.

Things China wants to do anyway...
