I recently emailed him with similar questions, here is his response about his fund:

<It is a private INDEX fund for accredited investors which was founded 1 August 1998 and is up 100% or so since. It will go down if commodities decline since it is an INDEX fund. If you qualify, please contact grohrs@pricegroup.com It is an INDEX fund so the INDEX “manages” it.>

Jim's management company, Beeland Management (he is majority owner), organizes and runs the funds. Mailing address The Rogers Raw Materials Fund, L.P. is a private placement. It has an investment minimum of $500,000. It is for Qualified Eligible Participants (QEP investors). Second, you must own either $2 million in securities, or have $200,000 in a commodity futures account, or a combination of those ($1 million in a securities account and $100,000 in a commodity futures account). When it becomes qualified in your state, a broker will contact you if you are interested. The Rogers Fund is a passive, unleveraged, long only commody fund that is designed to track the Rogers International Commodity Index "RICI." It is an index fund focusing only in raw materials.
