Viewing a group of miners (North American golds, silvers and SA issues) one sees the current consolidation pattern looks less ominous going from the NEM GG GLGs to the silver miners (PAAS SSRI) and on to the SAs. I suspect this trend will persist with the Silvers and the SAs to lead next week...however, if there is no leadership and gold and the shares don't move ahead, I think one has to start being a bit concerned here. If these huge speculative long positions start to get unwound or hedged by way of shorts in the big cap miners there'd be trouble....Again see the January February period....(Gold advanced, shares stalled, gold fell, shares crashed....)

This week $380 plus and $5.25 plus for silver is a must and those moves have to drag the big caps with them or the distributional signals, I suspect, will become more obvious.

Long 30% of portfolio in miners and metal….likely to add SA play and more silver, but ready to turn on a dime (silver or otherwise) if there isn’t any follow through to Friday’s good close, that sticks, in the better performing issues.
