loantech, don't lay claim to great wisdom... I have varied between 75-100% of my maximum portfolio alotment to miners and metals..."all the way up." and fortunately not quite so much on the ways down...I am hopeful of maintaining that roll. My "bearishness" probably reflects immediate concerns, generally in excess of what has proven to be necessary, while my philosophy has been and is, certainly, that a core PM position has to be maintained and moved to max when ideal technical opportunities can be found....and not missed.... No doubt about it, best course of action would have been to go 100% PM, turned off the computer and TV, stopped the mail, closed up the house, and gone off to live on an isolated island beginning at the end of 2000 or 2001. Was lamenting just that fact this weekend.... Who would tell me when to come back?? Would you send me a note in a bottle....
