Hussman Seems Like A Bright Guy

What makes Snow's requests/demands particularly interesting is the fact that China clearly, and in an unusual move publicly, advised him that any re-valuation of the Yuan would materially affect China's continued willingness to purchase US Debt.

In that context it’s difficult not to see his current entreaties to China as much more than political theatre.

The effect of a substantial reduction in the amount of US dollar denominated debt being purchased and held by China, in particular, and by Asia in general, on the US economy would be catastrophic.

I think it is remarkable that no one has pointed out the extent to which we have relinquished our economic destiny to China – and thereby substantially compromised our national security interest.

But I guess that since whistling by the graveyard may now be about to surpass fraud as our national pastime it really is not that remarkable.
