Well, IBM employees might live in Santa Clara where all the semiconductor companes had issues with polluting the water and soil. Wasn't there a toxic flume from Fairchild semi in the soil? IBM might be one of the few companies that has "long term employees" as HP and others have sure let a bunch of "old farts" go to reduce costs with younger workers who will put in the long hours for less pay and medical benefits.
