Company's Domestic and International marketing Arms Indicate Strong Initial Demand
BOCA RATON, Fla, July 26, 1996 International Standards Group, Ltd. (NASDAQ: ISGI) announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Total World Telecom (TWT), has signed an Agreement with Dallas-based Preferred Telecom, Inc. (NASDAQ: PDTM) whereby TWT will install Preferred's Voice Card Platform into its domestic and international network and will market services for this platform under the name QuickVoice.
"Several of our major international and domestic marketing groups have given their approvals for this platform," stated Donald Booth, President of Total World Telecom. "Their initial indications coupled with our current residential and commercial customers' great enthusiasm for the product leads us to expect QuickVoice to return learge revenues to the Company in the very near term."
"For each dollar of revenue added, TWT's gross profit margins are increasing from 22.4% for the six months ended June 30, 96, to a projected 28.6% for the year ended Dec. 31, 96," stated Arnold Salinas, Exec VP of Sales and Marketing. "We are seeking to sign a number of long-term contracts on an international basis utilizing the Voice Card Platform and fully expect the QuickVoice product to further increase profit margins moving forward."
According to various industry articles, stolen calling cards and numbers are big business, creating in excess of $1.2 billion annually in fraud and lost revenues to long dinstance carriers. QuickVoice's state-of-the-art voice recognition technology, utilizing the individuals voice pattern as a security feature, allows a user to make telephone calls by simply state the designated telephone number, thereby making the calling card virtually fraud proof.
