International Pursuit Corp and White Knight Resources have entered into
agreements in principle for gold exploration in Nevada. White Knight holds
an extensive portfolio of properties in Nevada principally in the Carlin,
Battle Mountain, Independence and Getchell gold trends. White Knight has
agreed to grant to Pursuit an option to acquire a 50% interest in two
properties (the Tonka property and the Woodruff property) within the
central Carlin trend by spending US$1,500,000 per property.
The 3,840 acre Tonka property lies directly between the Gold Quarry mine
(20 million ounces) and the Rain mine (5 million ounces) both operated by
Newmont Mining. The 640 acre Woodruff property is contiguous with the Rain
prospect. The Tonka and Woodruff properties have both been advanced to the
drilling stage. As an initial commitment, Pursuit is required to expend
US$300,000 for drilling programs on each property. Drilling on the Woodruff
property is anticipated to start within the next three months. The Tonka
property will be drilled late this year or as soon as weather permits in
1998.
The Tonka property features a coincident gold and arsenic rock chip
anomaly. Within this anomaly is a narrow altered intrusive dyke with high
background gold values lying adjacent to a major fault structure. These
features are very supportive of the potential of underlying gold
mineralization and present a very attractive drill target.
The Woodruff property exhibits an unusually strong and coincident arsenic,
mercury and antimony rock chip anomaly. This area lies within an important
fault structure adjacent to the producing Rain structure of Newmont Gold.
This prior work has clearly defined several drill sites.
