Soros and Orckit? News to me. The '93 transaction you mentioned was primarily invested from Mofet (who took a board seat), Oscar Gruss, who were the bankers to Mofet, and some individuals associated with Goldfarb Levy, the Orckit law firm. My guess is the Quantum you saw in the S-1 is an investment vehicle set up by the lawyers, and has nothing to do with Soros's Quantum.
