Your assumption that GZ was suspended for posting an incorrect interpretation of the rules is not only wrong, it's absurd.

I'm not stupid, a cheater, or obtuse enough to expect that everyone should know posting a PM isn't a violation just because I was quoted as having said so years ago.

If something isn't addressed in the Terms of Use as a violation, chances are pretty darned high it's not a violation. And to my knowledge the Terms of Use do not say that posting a PM is a violation.

You're not the first person to seem to require an all-inclusive document explaining and giving examples of every single act that can result in suspension and every single thing that won't. And you won't be the last. But it'll never get written. The document you suggest would be enormous and really shouldn't be necessary. Heck, I think the one that exists now is unnecessarily complex.

This is just a message board (and this thread an inordinately large part of my workload for a site that's supposed to be about the stock market) and doesn't require a huge number of paragraphs and sub-paragraphs explaining what is and isn't allowed.

It should be good enough and clear enough that participants are expected to be civil with each other and that those who don't will be shown the door.
